Hidden Assumption Finder
Most real arguments leave a premise unsaid. Surfacing it is a Super Thinker habit.
Definition
An enthymeme is an argument with a premise left unstated. Hidden-assumption spotting means writing the missing premise so you can accept, reject, or revise it explicitly.
Most everyday arguments skip steps the speaker assumes everyone shares. Surfacing those steps is one of the highest-leverage habits in clear thinking — for adults and for Super Thinkers learning 'hidden reasons.'
